آقاي دكتر فريدون ترمه فرزند عبدالله در نوزدهم ارديبهشت ماه 1322 هجري شمسي در شهر همدان متولد شد. وي تحصيلات ابتدايي و متوسط خود را در رشته طبيعي در مدرسه اتحاد و دبيرستان پهلوي سابق همدان با اخذ مدرك ديپلم به اتمام رساند. از سال1340 تا 1344 در دانشكده كشاورزي كرج موفق به اخذ مدرك فوق ليسانس (مهندسي كشاورزي) رشته گياهپزشكي شدند. خدمت مقدس سربازي خود را در كسوت سپاه ترويج آباداني در دانشگاه نظامي تهران در سال 1346 به اتمام رساند. از 25 تيرماه سال 1346 به استخدام وزارت كشاورزي در آمده و در موسسه بررسي آفات و بيماريهاي گياهي (بخش تحقيقات رستنيها) مشغول فعاليت بودهاند. در سال 1357 پس از گذراندن دوره تكميلي زبان آلماني در كوخل آلمان جهت اخذ درجه دكتري به وين (اتريش) عزيمت نموده و با ارائه رساله دكتري خود تحت عنوان: ""مورفولوژي و آناتومي جوانه گندميان ايران و همبستگيهاي آنها با طبقهبندي، اكولوژي و پراكنش جغرافيايي"" در سال 1359 با مدرك دكتري كشاورزي از دانشگاه بودن-كولتور وين به ايران بازگشت.

دستاورد مسافرتهاي علمي ايشان به تمام نقاط كشور در جهت جمعآوري گياهان و انجام طرحهاي مربوطه از جمله طرح تكميل فلور ايران، معرفي 7 جنس، 38 گونه، 1 زير گونه و 3 واريته از گندميان ايران كه به عنوان ركورد جديد محسوب ميشوند، بوده است. همچنين تعداد 32 گونه كه تيپ آنها (Typus) و يا نام گونه آنها به اسم ايشان بوده و يادآور تلاش مستمرشان ميباشد هم اكنون زينت بخش منابع گياهشناسي و فلورها است كه ليست كامل اسامي ونهها پيوست ميباشد.

بي شك نامبرده در طول 5/35 سال خدمت ارزشمند خود در تكميل و توسعه گياهان هرباريوم ايران و معرفي آنها به جهان نقش اصلي و اساسي داشته و نمونههاي جمعآوري شده (حدود 25000 نمونه) و تعيين نام شده توسط وي هم اكنون به عنوان اسناد معتبر گياهشناسي در هرباريوم ايران نگهداشته ميشوند.

فعاليتهاي علمي، آموزشي و تحقيقاتي ايشان شامل تدريس دروس مختلف از جمله شناسايي گياهان مرتعي ايران در دانشكدههاي كشاورزي همدان، منابع طبيعي كرج، منابع طبيعي گرگان و سمنان و همچنين تدريس گياهان آبخيزداري سد يالپان همدان در دانشكده كشاورزي همدان، استاد راهنماي 4 پايان نامه دكتري، 2 پايان نامه كارشناسي ارشد و مشاوره 1 پايان نامه دكتري، 3 پايان نامه كارشناسي ارشد، اجراي 25 طرح تحقيقاتي كه راساً مجري مسئول و يا مجري بودهاند و همچنين 31 اثر علمي شامل كتب، نشريات و مقالات علمي به زبانهاي: فرانسه، آْلماني، انگليسي، لاتيني و فارسي ميباشد (ليست مقالات به پيوست ارائه شده است).

در پرونده مسافرتهاي علمي- پژوهشي خارج از كشور ايشان شركت فعال در كنگره گياهشناسي لنينگراد شوروي، سمينار گياهان جنوب غرب آسيا، كارگاه گياهشناسي 2000 بنگلادش و گذراندن دوره علفهاي هرز در آلمان به چشم ميخورد. وي در طول خدمت پربار خود به مدت 19 سال همچون پدري دلسوز و مهربان معاونت بخش تحقيقات رستنيها، بيش از 20 سال بازرس مسكن كاركنان موسسه، 9 سال عضويت كميته فني موسسه، 3 سال عضويت كميسيون هماهنگي طرحهاي سازمان تحقيقات، 4 سال عضويت كميته انتشارات (دبير مجله آفات و بيماريهاي گياهي)، يك دوره عضويت كميته ارتقاء گروه موسسه و دو دوره عضويت كميته نمايشگاه موسسه را عهدهدار بودهاند.

دكتر ترمه در طول خدمت صادقانه و گرانبهاي خود كه بيشك در تاريخ علم گياهشناسي به يادگار خواهد ماند در تاريخ 29/12/1379 به افتخار بازنشستگي نايل شدند. ديوان اشعار آقاي دكتر ترمه كه شامل: غزليات، قصايد، رباعيات، مثنويات و دوبيتيها ميباشد هم اكنون آماده براي چاپ است.

Curriculum Vitae/Biodata:

Dr. Fereydoun TERMEH son of Abdollah, was born in Hamedan city (Iran) in May 9^th 1943. He obtained early education in the same place from Ettehad Primary School followed by ex-Pahlavi High School and achieved a degree in Natural Sciences. Later, he carried out his graduation in 1961-65 from Tehran Agriculture University, Karaj city where he was awarded MSc degree in Agricultural Engineering.

Dr. Termeh joined army for a 2 year Military Service in 1965-1967. He was employed as a botanist in the Iranian Ministry of Agriculture (Plant Pests & Diseases Research Institute, Department of Botany) in the same year. After learning German in Kukhl (Germany), he traveled to Austria for his PhD in Bodenkulture University (Wien) with thesis entitled: "Morphology & Anatomy of Gramineous Seedlings & their Relationship with Taxonomy, Ecology & Geographical Distribution". He returned home in 1980 to carry on his job in the same institution where he served for more than 35 years.
